Abstract

Incorporating Asian philosophy into the MCC Theatre program has taken the drama out of the drama and led to an ego-less experience in actor development as well as in the preparation and presentation of college productions. This philosophical shift has also affected the Theatre’s Service Learning outreach into the community, enriching students’ own personal connections and fostering long-lasting collaborative partnerships.
