Description

Similar to institutions nation-wide, BSU male students graduate at lower rates as compared to females. In the past year, the Male Student Success Taskforce, comprised of faculty, librarians and staff, have piloted a male student mentoring program and offered professional development opportunities focused on male student success. This highly interactive panel will share some of their work to date. In addition, qualitative and quantitative campus data focused on male student success will be provided. Student input will also be shared via a video excerpt from a BSU male student success panel; hear what these students want us to know about male student success. Finally, come prepared to share your strategies for supporting this group of BSU students, and help us think together about next steps in BSU’s male student success work.
