Description

Transitioning a class from traditional face to face to hybrid can be intimidating; but there are tools available to help the transition. Having adjusted a class from the fall semester that was face to face to a hybrid class in the spring, the presenter will share with attendees tips she found helpful for creating effective and engaging lessons/assignments for hybrid courses. The presenter will discuss how to use tools such as the journal feature on blackboard, Kahoot, and adobe connect to create reflective learning options, content review games, and videos. The presenter will share her experience with creating video lectures, sending videos, and creating clearly defined expectations for students. Sample checklists and videos will be shared. Participants will be asked to participate in a Kahoot to see how it can be duplicated in attendees’ hybrid classes.
