On August 21st, 2017, a total solar eclipse will be visible across a large swath of the United States. In New England, a partial solar eclipse will be visible. In this presentation I will talk about eclipses - how they happen, how they contribute to scientific discovery, and how to safely view the 2017 partial solar eclipse. Audience members will receive their own pair of eclipse glasses!
