Description

On April Fools’ Day 2016, the Bridgewater State University community was beguiled by an unexpected space invasion courtesy of the art department. Art students orchestrated a dynamic multimedia installation that incorporated drawing, painting, collage and sculpture in the common areas of Hunt Hall. “Somewhere in Time and Space” transported passerby into an imaginative world within their own.

This cross-disciplinary collaboration attempts to expand pedagogical practices, promote experiential learning and foster community. Panelists will discuss the installation process from inception to reception and explain how the project reinforces design principles while exposing students to current practices in contemporary art.
