Description

This session will discuss the neurobiology of emotional states and motivation, how they modulate our neurocognitive functions, and how they determine learning outcomes. The session will also discuss how the motivational system works in individuals with and without learning disabilities. The impact of stress, anxiety and depression on learning and memory will be explained. The last segment of the session will provide evidence-based recommendations for maximizing internal motivation, emotional engagement and learning outcomes.
