The panel will discuss the One Book One Community program that has been in existence since 2005 and is gaining tremendous popularity in the local communities and at BSU. We will discuss ways in which faculty can involve their students in a great learning experience within the local community. A book is chosen each semester and children and young readers' books are chosen that relate to the same topic. The local schools are encouraged to take part in reading the book and the events planned that relate to the topic. Interaction around the topic among members of the local community, schools and BSU is encouraged and celebrated. The author is typically invited to speak. Questions and Answers will follow the presentation.
