In this interactive session, representatives from the Institutional Review Board and the Office of Grants and Sponsored Projects will introduce you to updates and procedures. Discussions will be centered on the common pitfalls, frequently asked questions, and how to maneuver your way through the compliance issues that often arise. Website updates will be showcased so that you learn your way around the revised IRB applications and how to find external funding. Topics to include:
- Should my students submit an IRB application?
- Do I need IRB approval for my grant application and when do I need it?
- How flexible are the requirements for IRB and internal and external grant applications?
