Description

Through a partnership among teacher leaders from area school districts and faculty from BSC's School of Education & Allied Studies and School of Arts & Sciences, the New Teacher Partnership (NTP) at BSC provides newly graduated teachers with a successful start to their first year of employment, and gives these beginning educators ongoing support and mentoring throughout their induction year. This presentation is designed to provide CART Celebration attendees with a description of the NTP components (The New Teacher Academy, New Teacher Seminars, and the graduate course "Mentoring Beginning Teachers"), as well as a window into the importance of each to participants, area school systems, and the mission of Bridgewater State College. Attendees will be able to ask questions and offer comments throughout.
