Description
As part of ongoing efforts at Bridgewater State College to expand online learning options for students, two departments have written proposals for planning grants to engage in a year-long process of online program development. This panel will discuss the opportunities and constraints of department-level online education at BSC by focusing on the experience of the Department of Communication Studies. Discussion will include its work in online curriculum development: its application for a pilot grant, how the department went about the early planning stages, and some of the unanswered questions at this point.
