Description

On March 29, 2006, a total solar eclipse was visible from the Sahara Desert in Libya. I was part of an eclipse research team who took data during the eclipse. In the days after the eclipse, we also took part in an International Symposium on Solar Physics and Solar Eclipses. This presentation will highlight some of the new results we have from our data and will also chronicle some of my experiences from this trip of a lifetime. It will also be an opportunity to discuss ways that BSC faculty can engage in scholarly activities by establishing and maintaining collaborations with other institutions.
