Abstract
Bridgeman Images is the database of Bridgeman Art Library Limited, which manages copyright licensing for millions of images and videos. Visitors to the website may search these high-resolution resources by keyword and advanced search, as well as by browsing highlighted categories and collections. Image formats include, but are not limited to, paintings, photographs, prints, architectural plans, and documentary footage. In addition to providing a portal to discovering images and footage, Bridgeman Images guides users through a series of project criteria for a selected image to arrive at the appropriate licensing fee, taking the guesswork out of determining licensing fees. The website is very user-friendly and well-organized, although a few additional features or guidance on functionality within the website (e.g., Lightboxes, or personal folders for registered users) would further enhance this product.
