Pattern Prediction in Combustion
This project will predict and describe the propagation of chemical reactions such as combustion. The mathematical model will unite two popular descriptions of the physical phenomena into a single theory. Using detailed qualitative analysis and numerical computation, this research will extend knowledge in applied mathematics by providing a new mathematical description of reaction propagation and by capturing new trends in behavior for a wide range of physical situations.
