Project Description/Abstract

The goal of this project is to convert the preliminary “artist proofs” of my portfolio entitled “Summer Joy: Life and Death in the Garden” into exhibition quality images. I will be sending proposals to both galleries and museums to consider the images for exhibition. The completion of my project requires two different printing processes, each process requiring specific paper and producing significantly different results. To accomplish this I need to print some of the works on an Epson printer and then out-source the remaining works for processing at a professional color lab. This CART grant will enable me to purchase the Epson 9900 printer and necessary consumables. This is an important purchase, as it will also serve the printing needs of my colleagues in the Art Department. I will personally assume the expenses of the remaining portfolio that need to be sent and processed at the professional color lab.
