Mobile Learning Takes a Village

Description

A Biologist, an Art Teacher and English Professor walk into a room. No, this is not the start of a joke, but where the mobile story at Framingham State begins. Innovation in teaching is promoted on the Framingham State University campus through a Teaching and Technology Grant. The program was reshaped a few years ago, when a Biology Professor asked the question, “What can I do with iPads in the classroom?” The success of her pilot influenced the campus to: form a Mobile Task Force, fund additional pilots, purchase Blackboard Mobile Learn, and recently host a multi-institution sponsored workshop on using mobile technology in the classroom. During the presentation and interaction with the participants, we will share experiences and our plans for the future.
