Developing One’s Digital Identity: The Social Professional Paradigm

Ed Cabellon, Bridgewater State University

Description

As more and more of our lives are lived out online, our students are exploring their identity development using social media tools. While their main perspective has been one of a “social personal” nature, it’s important for University faculty and staff to help shift their use of online tools to a “social professional” paradigm. This session will explore the social professional nature of online tools and give participants a better understanding on how to educate their students as well.
