Description
Artist’s statement: My abstract paintings are based on details of my buildings and sculpture. The paintings are a portion of a much larger architectural drawing which has been surveyed to yield stimulating compositions. Color paper maquettes are made to study the proportions and color relationships. From these paper studies, candidates can be culled to be enlarged into paintings. A single building may result in several paintings depicting its diverse features.
